So... Live 8 was freakin great. I saw soooo many bands it was great. Even though I didn't see them up very close. Highlights were: Bon Jovi's "Livin on a Prayer", Toby Keith's "Beer for my Horses", and Sarah McLaughlin and Josh Groban doing "Angel." It was spectacular.

this i posted in my personal LJ and i'm just copying it into this one. hopefully DT will add her two cents eventually. :o)

====================================================================

ok.. i'm finally going to post about this weekend even though i should be doing something productive. lol.

dt and i left for philly around 1:30ish after running some errands before hand. we made it down to the TLA by 4 despite all the horrible traffic on the schukyl (which i cant spell) expressway. we were the only ones there. so we went to auntie annes and got some pretzels. then to starbucks to pee. while we're sitting there we see the *MARVELOUS* butch walker wander towards the TLA. he walks in teh door but then pops his head out and says to us "you guys are here early! are you looking forward to it??" and i reply "OF COURSE!!" hahahaha. i was all giddy and excited like a school girl. lol. we sat there for awhile just watching people which is entertaining on south street. butch's bus driver asked me where the liberty bell was so i gave him the address hehe. then some guy came up and read my shirt and asked if i knew the jellybricks. i was like uhhh yeah i AM wearing their shirt. haha. but i looked up and he was wearing an ike shirt. we talked a bit and i told him how i'm an ike fan but this will be my first time seeing john play. a few minutes later i could hear the guy talking and turned to look around the corner into the building and there he was talking to john and pointing to me. john said "OOOH IT'S COLLEEN!!" and he came out and gave me a hug. it was cute. he also pointed out how we were there really early. but heeey i wanted to be front row center for this show! haha. so yeah people didnt show up until about 6ish. Ali came! she got in line with us which was cool. it was nice talking to her. it's fun to make friends with other BW fans. :o) oh yeah and by this time garrett had realized he probably wouldn't make it down to south street in time. but he said he'd make it "next time" not realizing what that would mean... muahaha. so yeah. the show freakin rocked. john was awesome. i think the crowd really liked him! the fags were AWESOME! i totally love them. i bought their EP and everything. the Low Millions were... ok. their lead singer is a fuckin creep though. eeewwwwww.i really didnt like him. Butch was of course, unbelievably incredible. he blows my mind. we hung out after the show and i bought the fags cd so i coudl get a "wristband" and we snuck dt in without one and we got to talk to butch! he was cute. we told him how we were going to try to come to gullifty's the next day and he said he'd deifnitely see us tomorrow. and then he gave us both hugs and thanked us for being their so early. hehehehehehe. *sigh* so then we left and got to garrett's house by liiiike 2am and watched The OC since we missed it while we were at the show. oh! i also ran into darcie which was weird but cool. i told her how we drove out to philly since we're not 21 and unable to go to gulliftys. she said she couldnt go to gulliftys for some reason either so she came out for this show.

we got up the next morning and drove back home with garrett. after dropping dt off we went to neato burrito and ran around HBG. went to the capitol and the state museum. it was good times. when we got back mom said we were going to go out to dinner... i of course suggested gullifty's and they said ok and we took seperate cars. we got there and there were already butch fans inside. i could also see the bus and the vans. we went in to be seated and in plain view was BUTCH WALKER! haha. i freaked. and my family laughed at me. but they just cannot understand the excitement of your favorite rockstar eating just feet away from you. it's exciting. so yeah... we hung around after and waited for dt. we mingled around the front of the restraunt and the bus. eventually we see jimmy, the drummer from the fags, come out. i asked him to sign my cd and he got really excited. and we told him how we really wanted to come to the show but they wouldnt let us in. he asked why and said he'd be our "of age" person. so he ran to check and make sure that was ok and then led us down to the underground part and told the bouncer he was my cousin. hehehe. i owe him my life or something now. he's truely my hero. they made us stand in this roped off section next to the stage which kinda sucked but i didnt care. so yeah... the fags were incredible despite the crowd not being into it at all. i thought it was amazing. the low millions were fuckin weird again. whatever. i like their songs but they're just bad live. in between sets we were give two free cans of red bull which just made the experience even more fun hahaha. we also saw steve. WOOHOO! party time. lol. i commented to dt about how it was weird that i didnt see any of the local music people like jen shade there. but yeah... then BUTCH came on. the place at least went a little crazy. it was a good show as well. not quite as long as the last one but still amazing. it's incredible to me that he plays the same whether he's in TLA or Gullifty's. it's awesome. so yeah... we're wandering around afterwards and spotted Mike Mead from teh Martini Bros! nooooo way. and then HAHA Jen Shade. and then.... Larry! i ran over and gave him a hug and we talked about the amazingness of butch walker and how larry should pretend to be my cousin and how i'm the biggest jellybricks fan around. he also introduced me to laura (his gf) who i've always heard about but never met. i also saw tom for a brief second. then we went back in and talked to butch again. :o) i love him... a lot. sooo yeah. oh then i spotted Deuce! i went over and he said "hey baby girl" and i told him i was gonna come see him tomorrow (saturday) and he said he'd see me there and all that. we also saw the former dead 50s. haha. crazy. on our way out, going up the stairs, we ran into Tom again. he said "colleeeeeeen" and gave me a big hug (i think he was a bit intoxicated) and thanked me for being his myspace friend and asked if i was coming to see them on memorial day. lol. i love that boy. he cracks me up.

soooo yeah... it was an INCREDIBLE night because i got hang out with my best friend, my amazing boyfriend, butch walker, jimmy from the fags, larry, deuce, and tom. what more could a girl ask for??

welll saturday we got up real late. then went to checkered past and oxford hall. then ate at the bad diner in new cumberland by the airport. and then we went over to front street for the block party thing to see darcie and the martini brothers. i talked to darcie for a bit and we talked about again, the amazingness of butch walker. and i told her how we got into the gullifty's show thanks to jimmy. she was impressed. and asked if i drank. hahaha. sadly i did not. i didnt want to get jimmy in trouble or anything. plus i was on a butch high as it was. lol. so yeah... her set, ihave to say, was a bit boring. but she told me she didnt really want to play and it was pretty obvious. then The Flies played. they're apparently baitley's new band. they sucked. bleh. buuuuut then the Martini Bros!!! it was a rather sedate show but good nonetheless. they played beer shot. :o) and i wonder if they played it for me. hehehe. talked to deuce afterwards. he said he missed all of butch's set. i guess everyoen thought the show was later than it was. mike said he saw a lot of it though. he also said he thinks theyre playing an all ages set at MMC on saturday. yay! i bought a new shirt too since my other ones were weird.

after that we went back and hung around and went to juice n java. oh yeah and my pump stopped working. but then it fixed itself so it was ok. grrrrr.

here are the pictures that i actually have... more to come!! )

11:35 am - DT: Maroon 5 & el pollo loco
OK, April 17, I ventured to Merriweather Post Pavillion with Katie (my roomie), Kate (a friend), Celia (our RA), and Joe (another RA). Kate was disappointed that with the RAs there, she would not be able to participate in her favorite kinds of "illegal activities" but she assured herself "It's ok, I can have fun with my friends!" Little did she know that we would find new illegal activities to keep us occupied...

So we had lawn seats cause this show was pretty damn expensive for Civic Tour. :-P Everyone else was hungry there and apparently willing to spend $8 for a little chicken wrap. I was hungry, but I passed.
The Thrills opened... they were pretty good but not overly exciting (when I saw them on the OC I thought they seemed a little boring... better live however... and probably would have been better if I had been closer & not so distracted by the following events). So there was a group of younger girls on a blanket beside us. And ALL of them had fried chicken tenders and french fries. It looked SO YUMMY and this food had not been available where we had gotten our food. So all during the Thrills set we're just STARING, not wanting to go stand in the super long lines or spend money on our own. Then a few of the girls get up and go somewhere, leaving an unattended chicken finger and her remainging fries unattended just about 2 feet away from us. We thought... we should take it. Katie and I were encouraging to take it but we didn't have the guts. But Kate and I especially couldn't take our eyes off it. It was REDICULOUS! But these girls have been gone for at least 10 or 20 minutes at this point... the food must be getting cold. We're salivating like crazy and the girls on the blanket aren't paying attention... so I reach over and steal a fry!! I huddle in with Kate and Katie like "Look guys! Look!!!!" And Katie's like, "Ok..." and reaches in and takes the chicken finger!! Like savages we tear it up and each eat our share, giggling like crazy as we try to be sneaky about it.

So after the Thrills, some more of the girls leave their blanket... leaving two more trays - containing 3 pieces of chicken - only several feet from us. HOW DARE THEY TEMPT US LIKE THAT??!! So with only two girls left on the blanket, we swoop in and take another piece of chicken (I can't imagine what the people sitting behind us were thinking). At this point, Celia is like "What are you guys doing?!" and we're like "Stealing chicken? It's their fault! They left it right by us and we're so hungry!" And she's just like "Well, if you're going to keep doing this... next time share with me!" So we grab another piece & give some to Celia. Now Joe has caught on and he's like "You guys are SO disgusting." With one piece of chicken left, I sneak my left arm behind my back to the right, grab the last tray, and slide it behind me and into our circle. At this point, no one still wants to eat it - it was more for the thrill of stealing it! It was one of the most rediculous things ever. Of course, while all this was happening, a music video started playing on the screen, and what was the title? "Chicken payback" of course. Kate commented, "We're in trouble." (By the way, when the girls returned, they didn't glance once at their food and we laughed as the leftovers got trampled during the show.)

SO MAROON5!! How I love this band. Such good songs which I of course danced & sang my little heart out too... definitely wasn't the same as with Sarah & Colleen though (our crazy dancing & reflections & pictures with the Honda Civics) :( so I made sure to call each of them during the show. And they played 2 new songs!! Hurrah!! Sounded good... I did remember the titles for a few days but I'm sorry, at this point I forget. If I remember, I'll let you know. I know one of them did have a particular sexual lyric... what else is new? So, James no longer looks like Mark Twain/Mr. Corty and now has a full-on beard. Jesse on the other hand looked completely normal (sweater over collared shirt) as opposed to Amish or Eminem... hahaha I was impressed. One of the first things I noticed was that Ryan was not on stage... some one else (Matt?) was playing drums! I knew on their last tour he was out because of his tendonitis or whatever, but I hadn't heard anything about this tour... so I was muy triste. But during the encore Adam makes sure to mention that this isn't our usual drummer "but we have a special treat for you, Ryan is going to come out and do one song..." and I start getting all excited: "HIGHWAY TO HELL! It better be Highway to Hell!" which it WAS! LOVE THAT SONG!! And Ryan has an awesome voice as well! (Adam plays drums at this point.) It was awesome!

So after the show we get back into Joe's DDR car (techno music, flashing lights, black light, new GPS) and I decide I want to tell my eating-with-James-at-Wendy's story so I say "Want to hear my story?" And Kate sarcastically said, "I bet it's a stupid story!" (because these are things we say to eachother to show our love haha) but of course once I did tell it she was like "That's awesome!"

And yes, we did go to Wendy's after this show, but we didn't eat with any band members this time nor was my burger thin, hard, and crunchy BUT due to confusion over forgetting to put cheese on my burger and not understanding English very well, we ended up with one free chicken nugget, one free burger, and 3 free fries. SWEET!

There were pictures from this event, but sadly they all got deleted while being transferred onto Katie's computer. :( Oh well.

2:38 pm - DT's details on: Sugar Ray in Atlantic City
Colleen covered everything pretty well but there were a few things I'd like to add about that wonderful show...
Boo hiss to the bitchy lady for not letting Sarah and all the other people in when Robert and the security guards and the band were totally OK with it!
OMYGOD to Nick for actually making his way in there... money is a powerful tool! Hahahahaha
It was amazing to see those guys... we hadn't actually talked to Murphy in THREE YEARS!! It was sooo good to hug all of them and chat with them. (I laughed when I hugged Mark since I was staring right at the spot where his tattoo USED to be hahahaha). It was fun and kinda sureal... way too many mirrors & lights! Hahaha. They're such goofballs. Love 'em.
I had thought about it ahead of time how much I missed RPM and how maybe they could play it if I asked... but I kind of afraid to ask due to the Caboose incident way back in West Chester in 2002 (Murphy wanting to play Caboose for us... Mark walking off stage pissed)... but as we were being kicked out of the room I was just like, "Oh, any chance you guys wanna play RPM tonight?" And to my surprise, Mark actually was the first to say "Yessss" in this I-want-to-say-yes-so-I-hope-that's-OK hesitant kinda way, and he looks at Murf for approval. Murf looks at me, and says "Yeah, yeah... we could play the beginning of it," and turns to Craig to start discussing when they could play. AWESOME!!!

So we had been kinda pissed about the seating arrangement - tables & chairs - wtf?! I even expressed my grief to Murphy. But then Sarah went to get a drink and some high school boys thought she was hot and bought it for her. They also told her she could sit with them... they were at the front & center table right against the stage... Soooo thanks to Sarah's hotness, Sarah, Helen, and I moved up with them. We left Colleen with Nick (you know you liked it) and she gave us the finger haha. But it was ok cause once the band started most people stood up and all the boardies got to move foward. (The comedian calling the boys we were sitting with Peter Brady & Flava Flav was the only thing he said that was close to funny, and that was probably only almost funny cause we were sitting with them.)

The show itself was AMAZING. I cannot believe they played the Greatest... all the boys were so ON. It was great seeing them after they hadn't had a show in a while cause the performance seemed fresh... And Mark was at the best I've ever seen him I think... he didn't even do all his cheesy lines and stories! YAY! And he said, "We had a request for a song..." but then they played Mean Machine... and then after that (and the Ramones) they did RPM!!!!!!!!! THE WHOLE THING!!! I couldn't fuckin believe how amazing it was and how good it was to hear that guitar part and sing "You're beautiful!" and point at them... I LOVE THEM SO MUCH. They're all so awesome... and Homicide. <3 <3 <3 At one point Mark either winked at me or Helen... I couldn't tell since she was standing right behind me. Hehe.

I was glad we got to talk to Murf afterwards to thank him for RPM. He was like 'Yeah, that was for you! That was for you! It was you that requested that, right? Yeah, it was for you!' And then he explained that he forgot how to play Freedom of Choice so it worked out really well that I had requested it. Boo ya!

Gosh. One of the best Sugar Ray shows EVER. (Best shows ever: West Chester, TLA, Palladium, AC)
And you have no idea how good it was to have a show with all three homicide ladies. It had been way too long. :) <3

The show tonight was fuckin GREAT!!!! Boy I've missed them. I can't believe it's been a year since we've seen them! It was just incredible to see them again.

I got there and stood in line. There were only liiiike 4 people ahead of me inline which didn't change while I stood there. But this guy who was obviously with the bands was out walking this ADORABLE little fox terrier puppy! He was soooooo cute! He came over and chewed on my shoe laces. It was adorably cool. Eventually Felicia and her friends got there. They're fun girls! I'm glad I met up with them.

The first band was called Burning Bright and they were freakin sweet. I reeeeaaaaaally liked them. If they would've had CDs I may have caved in and bought one. But thankfully they didn't. I'm way too poor. Haha. But yeah... These are from Burning Bright:

The second band was called Jamison Parker. They were good too. The guy who owned the puppy was in this band. They were cool but not as fun as the first band:

Then came... LOLA RAY!!!! They played an awesome set!! I think they played three or four new songs. I really really liked one of them and I really hope they record it. Plus all of my favorites from the CD. It was great. I guess they're about to start working on a new album which is WAY exciting! Here are the pics:

We hung out after the show and had LOTSA fun talking to the bands!!! Adrian from Burning Bright may be my new favorite person. Hehe. He gave us all Jujyfruit and told us how awesome we are. LOL! He was way cute and sweet and appreciative. I hope I can see them again sometime. They're on Myspace too! http://www.myspace.com/burningbright I LOVED the picture with him! It made me giggly hehehe SEE:

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I saw John too and told him how it was the third time I'd seen them and how much I love them! Throughout the night there were also countless jokes made about them singing Milkshake as part of the set. Hahaha. John even offered that WE come and sing it for them. Hehehehe. But yeah... In this pic it looks like I'm sitting on him... but don't worry, I'm not! I'm just sitting next to him on a step and he's very short! LOL

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

James is... *sigh*! Words just cannot explain how incredibly and adorably sweet he is and how much I adore him!!! He looked at me and said "What's your name?? I've met you before haven't I??!" and he grabbed my hand! *FAINT* hahaha. I told him how I'm one of Homicide's Ladies and he was like "OOOH I haven't seen you since THEN?!" LOL! It was awesome. I'm totally in love with him. Hehehe.

So yeah... I love them. And I miss them. And I wish I could see them EVERYDAY! LOL! I also can't wait for their new album!!! EVERYONE SHOULD SEE THIS BAND!!

10:39 pm - I'm alive!
I would just like to state that I DO indeed have oh so glorious things to write about:
A few more details/my perspective of the Sugar Ray show
Maroon5 @ Merriweather Post Pavillion on Apr 17
My Chemical Romance @ Mason Day on Apr 21
Fall Out Boy @ 9:30 club this Friday
AND hopefully my own Lola Ray experience @ Jaxx on Sunday!

Things you get to look foward to in my tales:
Peter Brady & Flava Flav!
Chicken theft extravaganzas!
Backstage passes & life as a roadie!
And OH SO MUCH MORE!!

Why, DT you concert-going-machine-you, don't you just update us all now?
Because I like details and right now I'm too lazy for that!
Right now I'm supposed to be making up a quixotic tale but I'm also too lazy for that. Instead, Joe & I will continue to make sexual jokes... I think he's trying to play footsie with me (not really).

So... yesterday we had what is called "Woodstock" at Arcadia University. It's similar to post prom in high school but not nearly as awesome. There were big inflatable games and free food and such. There was also musical entertainment which I have to say WAS better than post prom (except for the year that FK played of course hehe).

I got there late because I was out shopping with my mom but I got there just in time to see the last act... the one I wanted to see... Toby Lightman! We saw her in December '03 when she opened for Gavin. She's good. Her CD is very incredible. She has a band now too! Instead of just a guy with an accoridan. LOL.

Her set went over well with the crowd, and I really do like her, but I think for a show like this they should've gotten the Riddlin Kids like they were considering. They also should do a REAL concert instead of putting a very small stage in the corner of the gym. There's just a zillion ways it could've been done better so that more people would've paid attention to Toby. I felt really bad for her because there was just a very small cluster of kids sitting on the gym floor in front of the stage looking bored. But that's because it was all local bands and stuff before her and they were all like, pop punk and stuff. They weren't expecting this little singer-songwriter girl. The line-up just didn't work together. I want to join Student Programming Board next year and try to get this fixed. It's not fair to the students or to the headlining act.

I dunno... but here's a picture of me and Toby! I don't really like it because standing next to her makes me look massively huge. Hahaha. But here it is anyway just to prove I saw her...

Hopefully DT will get around to posting about all the shows she's been going to! I feel kind of stupid being the only one posting in here since this is for all of us. Eh. I'll definitely be posting after seeing Lola Ray on Tuesday too! Yay!

So... yesterday Katie and I trucked our way up to the Lehigh Valley to see MC Lars, the Riddlin Kids, American HiFi, and Bowling for Soup.

We first went to Bethlehem and checked out Donegal Square which was *awesome*! I miss Scotland. They didn't have Irn Bru or brown sauce though. :o( But they did have the same exact scarf that I bought in St.Andrews. Haha. I think everything I bought in Scotland I could buy in that store also. Hehe. But it was good. We wandered around Main Street a little bit too. I pointed stuff out to Katie that I'm sure she doesn't care about at all. LOL! Then we went and found the dance store where I got my free leotard! Yay! My dance outfit is going to be so cute with it.

Anyway... the point of this story... We drove into Allentown and drove around aimlessly trying to find parking. We finally did then we wandered into Subway to use the bathroom. After that we just chilled on a bench trying to figure out why there was no one else there yet. Meanwhile a girl pulled up and asked for our help with parallel parking. Haha. We ended up hanging out with her the whole time before the show. She follows a few bands around and has even seen Sugar Ray a bunch of times. It's no wonder she looked familiar. We've apparently been to a lot of the same shows. She knew who Derek was too. I <3 Derek. Hehe. Buuuut yeah... there were a lot of annoying people in line. Ew.

We got in and were in the second row due to the fact that we didn't know there was an under 21 door. Whatever. But yeah... MC Lars freakin blew like he did the last time. At least he doesn't sing about the "iGeneration" with his iBook anymore, he got a Dell. Haha. He got booed. It was funny.

The Riddlin Kids were amazingly awesome!!! I love them soooo much. They could tell we were into it. Clint is such a cool cat. Everyone should buy their records. They're way fun.

American HiFi... *sigh* just... *sigh*! They're soooooooo fun. When they came out on stage Drew saw me wearing my Eagles jersey and mouthed "NICE JERSEY!!" to me. Hahaha. It was cute. Although I couldn't figure out why he said it because they're from Boston (aka Pats fans) but then I remembered he had family at the Troc show. So he must be from the Philly area. Stacy was just totally on too! And Jamie and Jason were incredible as well. Jason played a SWEET solo! It was drool worthy for sure.

All during the RK and AHF sets the obnoxious people behind us were pushing and being stupid despite all the young kids in the crowd. So we got the hell out of there when HiFi ended.

We tried to find the RK and AHF guys but all we could find was Dustin (RK) and Jason. We got pics with Jason at least and he thanked us for "rockin out" in the front! Haha. That made me happy because I was glad he noticed us and remembered. But then the security guards were being complete jerks and wouldn't let us stand near the merch booth to wait for the guys. I ended up running into and chatting with the kid that we saw at the North Star show who's like the biggest AHF fan. Stacy at him come on stage in Philly to sing Geeks. He was cool. But Jason swept him away from us to the dressing room. :o(

Sooo yeah. Then we left. Haha. It was such a good time. I'm anxious to see RK and AHF again someday. I definitely love them both lots and lots. :D

So.. I went to see the Martini Brothers at Championship on Friday. They were *outstanding* as usual! It was a very short set though. But it kicked ass regardless. It was great to see them after soooo long. Deuce recognized me right away and said hello. It was sweet. He also insisted that I wear his aviators in our picture and "cleaned" them off on his sweaty shirt because he said he couldn't have me wearing foggy glasses. LOL! It was so great talking to him. I talked with Mike a bit too and got a pic. He had Cruz with him! He's so cute and big! He's probably about 3 now I think. He now has a mohawk and they had him onstage with a little plastic guitar. It was sooooo cute. He was imitating his dad the whole time. When I have kids I hope they're that cool. I also ran into Christie who I haven't seen in forever!

We then went to Juice N Java and saw Marc Seeley who was crap as usual. Haha. But Ian was there and we chatted about the FK days and the future of well... all of them. I hope the best for him though. I really think he deserves fame and fortune more than anyone I know. He's so incredibly talented and doesn't get to use his talent like he should. I miss the days when there'd be girls screaming for him and people singing along with his words. :o(

Anyway... Saturday we went to Jimmie's Chicken Shack. It was a kick ass show! Although I'm really really beginning to hate the Chameleon Club. The people who work there are just complete assholes. But whatever. Jimi and the boys put on a great show!! It was Derrick's last show too which was sad. I guess he had a kid and stuff? I dunno. But I'm hoping to be able to go to HFStival and see them!

That is all from me for this adventure! Till next time... (Tuesday haha)...

ROCK ON!

OK... wow... where to begin... i guess at the beginning?? :o)

DT and Sarah came to get me at Arcadia at about 11:30 or so and we headed out down Broad Street and played "spot the white guy." DT won with TWO! woohoo! haha. we continued on our journey rockin out to SR in the car and enjoying our time together since the three of us havent been in the same location in three months.

as we got closer to AC we all started freakin out. i made sure to tell everyone what color street we were on in DC according to a Monopoly board. hahahaha. good times. we finally got to Resorts and parked and were inside by about 3:30. we were dazzled by the bright lights and people everywhere. and we found it odd that we are allowed in a casino by ourselves to wander freely at the age of 19 but aren't allowed to gamble or drink for another two years. strange. but yeah... since there was quite a bit of time left until the doors opened or anyone was even going to show up, we milled about and explored resorts as well as the trump taj mahal which was attached. while doing this we were hit on at least 6 times. probably because we're the only 19 year olds that would wander around a casino that they cant gamble in. hahaha. but we ended up eating in the Hard Rock Cafe at the taj mahal which was cool. we also held great escalator races. muahaha.

aaaaanyway. we hung around the theater for a bit and listened to soundcheck. i could swear i heard someone say the word "derrick" but we all thought we were all hallucinating. hehehe. buuuut yeah then we wandered a bit more and came back and saw anthony and heather which was cool. more excited people yay!! the line got longer and longer and bev, helen, regina, sandi, jess, stephanie, jess, kelly, and felicia all were there. i think the people around us probably thought we were nuts because all these different people kept coming up to say hello and hug us and stuff. hahaha. it was funny. nick eventually came about 10 minutes before the doors opened too. haha. silly nick. we also went down to the box office and got these bracelet things for the meet n greet. i was sad that it wasnt a sticky pass cuz i've always wanted a real one for my standie, but alas it was a handmade black adjustable bracelet. lol.

so we got into the venue and helen slipped the "seat captain" a twenty and we got the closest seat we could get without being a "high roller." our table was the ladies, nick, regina, helen, and two nice young girls who had mean parents that looked at us funny. whatever. lol.

we then went to the side of the stage to meet robert for the meet n greet. we were told at the box office that we could bring in guests, so sarah, nick, and regina were going to come in as our guests. but this bitchy lady named tina wouldnt let them come in. :o( whatever. we went in in groups of five and we were the second group so it was me, dt, helen, bev, and sandi. we also saw Trish while we were waiting!!! :o) (nick eventually got in later because he slipped the security guard a twenty. HAHAHA)

being thrown into a room with all five sugar ray guys is quite overwhelming i must say. it's absolutely impossible to know where to start. so i just kinda looked at them all for a second until one of them said something first. hahaha. it was all hugs and i-havent-seen-you-in-so-long's. hehehe. i think i hugged mark first. then murphy. then craig and stan... and *gasp* i think rodney got out without a hug. and rodney gives the *BEST* hugs. :o( oh well. we talked about all kinds of stuff in the brief time we were there. stan said something about how he couldnt believe how old we are and asked if we had kids yet hahaha i said "no, but you almost do!!" hahahaha. and then craig asked dt and i how old we are now and we said 19 and then sandi jumped in behind us and said "THEY'RE LEGAL NOW!!" hahahahahaha. it was so funny. craig was also wearing one of my FAVORITE tshirts! it's the darkness shirt written in the pretty cursive on the front and the stage lay out on the back. me saying i had the shirt lead to all of them singing "i believe in a thing called love" and me saying how it used to be my ringtone but playing my new tone for murphy (answer the phone) talking about how simple plan sang it once and how they KNEW maroon 5 and gavin were going to be big, but not simple plan. it was also funny cuz murf was like "gavin is AWESOME you gotta buy his record!" which is funny because i have THREE copies of it. hahaha. two of which i had before i saw him open for SR. :o) murf also said that HE knew simple plan was going to be big. lol. but yeah, then i showed mark my new ink and he was all like "that is sooooo cool where'd you get it" and i told him nick bought it for me on south street. and him craig then tried to show me all the ones they got on south street. hahaha. now i know where to go for my next one!!!! mark also pondered aloud if nick would buy HIM a tattoo. LOL!!! then he kept coming up behind me and touching it and saying how cool it is. hehehehe. many girls would pay a lot of money for that to happen to them. muahaha. dt and i then got a pick of the two of us with everyone. and i wanted to get one with mark to prove to my roommates that i knew him cuz i say it everytime they watch extra and i dont think they believe me. LOL! but while i waited for him i got a pick with murfdog as well. :o) DT also asked them if they'd play RPM and Murf said they'd play the beginning! we also told craig and stan that sarah was outside and they wouldnt let her in. rodney came over and asked "who wont they let in??" and i said "sarah, the third homicide lady" and he went to the bitchy tina lady and said they wanted to let her in but the bitch said she wouldnt let her in!!! i was mad. but yeah, they rushed us out of there really fast. it was totally awesome and very much worth it too. i was sad that red and sarah couldnt come in though :o( it just woulda made it even BETTER!

so we went back to the table eventually and sat through the hooooooorrible comedian. but nick bought me a beer so i was enjoying life regardless. lol.

the band came out....... and opened with........ THE GREATEST!!!!! that's right, the FUCKING GREATEST! i was like screaming i couldnt believe it!!! it was so great! when they finished the song they gave an AWESOME shout out and thanked "the boardies" (mark's own words!) and told the crowd how loyal we all are! hehehe. in the middle of the show we all eventually ended up in the aisles and closer to the stage. :o) buuuut the show was so amazingly spontaneous and laid back! you could really tell that mark especially has missed the stage. it was good to hear him say it too. makes me feel better about the future of the band. so yeah, they played the usual stuff as the show went on....... and then, where they were supposed to play Freedom of Choice... they played RPM!!!! eeek! they even said they had had a request for it backstage! hahahaha. that was DT!! yaaaay!!! so yeah... they also played Every Rose Has Its Thorn which made me want to cry since we always sing it at diabetes camp and stuff since it's written by Bret Michaels whose mom started our camp and stuff. i'm also obsessively in love with poison. LOL! but that's another story. anyway, karoake was pretty cool too. it was sad that nicky didnt get up on stage :o( but the dude who did was freakin awesome!! Deelo? from *SOUTH PHILLY*! he was great! he freestyled like you wouldnt believe! the poor kid who was up against him had nooooo chance. lol. it was great. during the show i noticed that Chip Quigley was on the left side of the stage totally rockin out to the show! hahaha. it's really sad that i can recognize the band's manager... not their TOUR manager... their regular manager. lol. and also.... DERRICK WAS THERE!!!! i pretty much squeeled and jumped up and down on nick when i saw him. hehehehe. so yes, it was very sad when the show ended. it was so great to be there with all the boardies and people who love the band as much as i do!!

after the show we hung out for a bit and talked to derrick... he told us about his new band! Death by Hollywood! (www.myspace.com/deathbyhollywood)! and we got a quick picture. i love him soooo much! and i've missed him terribly!!!

while the crowd cleared out we just hung around and talked about the show. nick ran back cuz he had an after show pass and me, dt, sarah, regina, and helen wandered around for a bit. walked to the taj mahal and back... where we ran into murphy! lol. what are the chances? we talked about the kids and his brother. and i asked him about the butch walker rumor which he pretty much denied. :o( we also talked about how much we loved the laid back spontaneous feel of the show and he agreed. he's such an awesome person i love him to death. we were also then joined by the lovely Deelo (freestyle champion) haha. who was pretty much kissing the ground murphy walks on. it was really cute to see the big italian south philly guy going on and on about how much he loves sugar ray and murphy's bass licks. lol. it's good to hear that there are guys out there who know how great this band really is.

but after all that excitement we ran back to the taj mahal and had pizza at sbarros. then nick called and we met back up with him and chilled in the bus center for awhile since its the only place with seats. lol! after that we all strolled to the parking garage and said our goodbyes. :o( we then drove all the way back to Arcadia and crashed.

it was possibly one of my favorite shows ever!!!!! we had such a great time with all the boardies and with the boys. there is no great band in the world. for sure. i love them with all my heart!!!!!!!!

ps...... i also have to profess my love for mr. mike savoia for being so kick ass!!! if it wasnt for you this wouldnt have been possible. you rock our world! you're totally flying out for the next one, by the way!!!

DT and I are currently listening to the parents talk about our biggest (aka most expensive) tour stop in history. We're going to the Western Caribbean on a cruise. It's going to kick ass. We're going on a lovely tour of Mayan stuff. Yes, stuff. I don't know what it is so I'm calling it stuff. Then we're going horseback riding and chillin' on the beach. Cuz we're that hot. We're gonna chill on the beach and pick up skeevy Caribbean men. Then snorkeling or something? I dunno. And some sweeeeet shopping in MEHICKO. No, not Mexico. MEHICKO! This... according to my dad's website is 119 days 19 hours 38 minutes and 4 seconds from right now. We're also going to crazy dance clubs where we will pick up little boys because we're older than all of them. WOOHOO! My mom wants to "get down to business" with dolphins?? WHAT?! The Fiesta Party boat sounds like my speed as well. Tequilla anyone?? Yeaaaaah. 12 hours in MEHICKO to play with dolphins, drink tequilla, and shop till we drop... or maybe the tequilla part till we drop. Muahaha. Gambling occurs somewhere? Uh oh. I shouldn't do that. Icky. Haggling will be fun I think. Reminds me of the swap meet but sceevier.

Sooooo... This should be a fun adventure. Full of crazy DT-Tap experiences. And drinking with my parents. W00T!
